Bednar Thinks John Terry’s A Bully

In the wake of West Brom’s 3-0 defeat to us, Baggies striker Roman Bednar feels compelled to have a bit of a whinge.

Apparently, when he went in for a challenge with John Terry during the game, Bednar feels the Chelsea captain was a little rough. Bednar says “We were caught up in each other. When he was falling down he deliberately put his hands there to make it painful for me. I tried to respond, but he gave me a header into my belly. It was not fair from him, he was then like mad.  Moreover, the referee was of the opinion that it was me who fouled.” Boo hoo.

Now I wonder why the ref would think that? Maybe because that did actually appear to be the case mate?

You see, I’m sure most people who read this blog will have sussed by now that I’m not one to defend our players if I think they’re out of order. But I remember that challenge clearly and I remember thinking Bednar would’ve looked more at home in a WWF belt than a football shirt as he refused to give up his attempts to show Terry who the daddy was.

Now obviously JT wasn’t impressed with this and had a bit of a go back, who wouldn’t? So I don’t really get Bednar’s point here. I mean, if you’re big enough to dish it out then you really ought to be man enough to take it back.
