Oklahoma State Football Uniforms: Cowboys Get It Right with New Unis
Oklahoma State Keeps it Simple With All Black Uniform
This year has been an outrageous one for college football jerseys, as nearly every team in the country is unveiling something new.
Some of the jerseys have been intriguing, while others have been downright hideous.
Nobody can be quite sure what Maryland was thinking when they debuted their new jerseys. If they were going for a publicity stunt, they achieved great success. If they were aiming to make a fashion statement, they failed miserably.
Georgia debuted their new jerseys against Boise State as well. The helmets were a huge hit around the country, but the jerseys made me think every player was also named Georgia. Epic fail.
Finally someone got their new jerseys right. Oklahoma State debuted their new jerseys in a 37-14 thrashing of Arizona.
Simplicity has proven to be the way to go, and the Cowboys did just that. They brought out some new jerseys that someone might actually want to wear again. The same can't be said for Maryland's new unis.
The Cowboys went all black, with white helmets to break it up a bit. The pairing looks good, and was a good call by both Nike and Oklahoma State.
Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of their new gray jerseys. The team debuted the gray jerseys in their season opener, and made me think the players were covered in cigarette ash to get that ugly color.
Hopefully the team keeps it simple and cracks out these black jerseys a bit more. Hopefully Oklahoma State learned that simplicity beats shock value.
