College Football Recruiting 2012: Predicting the Top Commitments of September
For this read, I'm just going to take a couple recruits and try to predict if this month of September will be the month in which they make their college commitments.
There will be a ton of pledges made this month as always, but I chose to focus on higher profile, top 100-level recruits just for time purposes.
So come inside and check out who may be using September as their platform month to make a college commitment.
William Mahone, RB
1 of 3Mahone is a top level running back prospect that was due to make his commitment last month, yet he backed off because he needed more time to think.
He's likely going to visit Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan and Pitt.
I think a great visit to South Bend or Happy Valley could see him pledge this month.
Jordan Jenkins, DE
2 of 3Jenkins has been keen on six schools and has been close to a decision a few times, only to back off for more time to think.
Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia Tech and Auburn make up the six schools all in the thick for Jenkins.
I'm not sure that he will make a choice this month, but with him being close to a decision a couple of times this summer, September could mark the month he finally pulls the trigger.
Tracy Howard, CB
3 of 3Howard seems to be in the middle of a recruiting battle between Florida and Miami, and we all know the trouble Miami has gotten themselves into lately.
I think that may push Howard to Gainesville, and by the end of this month he could be a committed Florida Gator.
However, don't underestimate Al Golden's ability to sell Miami and his ability to convince recruits to stick to The U during this controversy.
