Georgia Bulldogs Football: Players Who Are Key to the 2011 Season
While the Georgia Bulldogs are ranked No. 19 on the AP Top 25 and No. 22 on the USA Today Poll, some people say that the Bulldogs are contenders for a National Championship.
With the loss of A.J. Green, the Bulldogs have to focus efforts on other players who will be essential in getting the 'Dogs through the SEC and on to a National scope.
Aaron Murray
1 of 5Aaron Murray has gotten a lot of recognition leading into this 2011 season. He has been named to the preseason All-SEC First Team along with being named Birmingham News' best quarterback in the SEC.
The sophomore will have a lot of work cut out for him to get the job done in Athens, but seems to have everything in place.
Isaiah Crowell
2 of 5The freshman running back is supposed to be Georgia's version of South Carolina's Marcus Lattimore, and may be even greater. He was the No. 1 ranked high school running back prospect and currently has the No. 2 tailback spot at Georgia.
Crowell is one of five players from Columbus, Georgia who chose to play for the Bulldogs.
John Jenkins
3 of 5The JUCO transfer signed with the Bulldogs back in February and was expected to start at nose tackle, a job he lost to Kwame Geathers.
Even though he lost that position, and recently suffered a hamstring injury, Jenkins still plans to help the Bulldogs all season.
Tavarres King
4 of 5Tavarres King will have to step up this year and fill A.J. Green's shoes. His performance this season will be key in the Bulldogs' success.
Orson Charles
5 of 5At tight end, Orson Charles may be the answer that Georgia needs. His ability to run routes and get past defenders will prove to be an asset and a skill that the opposing teams will have difficulty handling.
