San Francisco Giants: Arrest of Embezzling Ex-Employee Signals End of Giant Mojo
I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your World Series championship Giants fans. And that, in the process of celebrating it, you left nothing in the tank because you won't be getting another one anytime soon.
It is now vividly apparent that in the sequel to their World Series winning season the Giants have taken a page out of the Austin Powers notebook as their story lines revolve around them losing their mojo. The most recent sign came to light on Wednesday.
According to ESPN, Robin O'Connor, a former employee, is being charged with and has been arrested for embezzling $1.5 million from the Giants. The Giants apparently discovered the possible embezzlement last month and confronted the employee.

The accusation is that she stole from employees and players.
I am shocked that the Giants cared. $1.5 million is nothing compared to what Barry Zito has stolen from them over the years. I kid. I kid.
I know there is a huge difference between embezzling money and not performing while under contract.
While this embezzlement case will only have an indirect impact with the play on the field—and one that the players should be able to easily manage—it is still a harbinger that the Giants' recent run of magic has left the building.
As of Wednesday, the Giants trail the Diamondbacks by six games for the lead in the NL West and they are even further behind the Braves for the wild card. A deficit that would not be insurmountable if they still had their mojo.
However, they don't, and instead of making up ground they are losing it. The Giants have lost three in a row, they have won just four of their last 10, and 10 of their last 31.
Over the last three weeks the Giants are batting just .177 with runners in scoring position. Carlos Beltran has failed to provide any spark since the Giants acquired him as his career continues to spiral down.
Injuries are also taking their toll on the defending champions. Almost the entire lineup has been hampered with some injury or other of late and pitchers Brian Wilson and Jonathan Sanchez may be done for the year.
And as nice as it would be to say wait until next year, that is not a promising prospect for the Giants either. The Giants have a long list of players on the last year of their contract.
It was a good run while you had it Giants fans. Enjoy the memories.
