2011 College Football Live Streaming: Guide for Week 1 of the 2011 Season

Brandon GalvinJun 7, 2018

College Football is going to rock your world Week 1.

Clear the schedule because you’re going to be glued to the screen thanks to the non-stop ferocious collegiate action.

We’ve been waiting for this day since Cam Newton blew our minds last season by guiding Auburn to a BCS National Championship. We’re dying to see who will be the next “Auburn” and thank the Football Gods they are finally letting us back through their pearly gates.

We have every bit of information you need for the Top 25 teams for your College Football Week 1 viewing pleasure.

There are hundreds of exciting storylines to be played out this year, but this is the week that sets the tone for the rest of the season. This weekend will push team to their Cinderella path or simply meet expectations. Unfortunately for some unlucky souls, they will have their hopes and dreams shattered as their team crumbles from the Week 1 anticipation and pressure.

Biggest Potential Blowout

LA Lafayette vs (9)Oklahoma State

You have to feel for LA Lafayette as they go against Brandon Weeden, Justin Blackmon and arguably the top offense in the nation. This is an unfair matchup for every team in the land and will be a massacre you might decide to turn away from after the first quarter. If the offense didn’t have the potential to put up triple-digit points, I’d probably tell you to just skip this altogether. Weeden and Blackmon just may hook up for five touchdowns in this one…

Biggest Potential Upset

(14) TCU  vs Baylor

TCU has a great defense, but they will have a difficult time matching up with QB Robert Griffin III. Griffin has the potential to be college football’s Michael Vick from 2010. That’s right—video game numbers. This kid is a physical freak of nature with great strength and speed on the ground, but who can also sling it through the air. Without Andy Dalton calling the shots for the Horned Frogs, they could be one-and-done this season.

Game You Should Skip

(20) Mississippi State  vs Memphis

The lack of explosive and enticing talent allows fans to skip this contest if there was ever a Top 25 Week 1 game to skip. It’s always nice to be on upset alert, but it’s difficult to have any faith in Memphis to pull it off.

Must-See Game of Week 1

(3) Oregon  vs (4) LSU

As much as I like the Boise State vs Georgia game, it’s all about the Ducks and the Tigers. Anytime you have the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds set to square off to wreck the other’s season in primetime, it has to take the cake. After this game, one time will be soaring towards a BCS National Championship while the other would be better off forfeiting the season.

This is a grudge match of epic proportions that will shake the entire football world. A potential BCS Championship game in Week 1… Thank you for very much, I’ll take it and another, please!
