Tottenham Transfer News: Spurs Launch €18.7 Million Assault on Leandro Damiao
Tottenham's recent lack of scoring in the English Premier League has put them under much pressure to sign a class forward prior to the close of the transfer window.
Just days before the close of the window, Tottenham are looking at signing 22-year-old Brazilian Leandro Damiao in a deal set to exceed €18 Million.
Acoording to Goal.com, Tottenham are looking to sign the Brazilian striker on a permanent deal as a likely replacement for Peter Crouch, who is the subject of transfer talks with Sunderland and Stoke.

It isn't the first time that Tottenham have been in talks with the Brazilian. Last window, they tried to land his services for €13.6 million, but it was rejected by his club, Internacional.
Damiao's recent good form has made him the subject of talks amongst the major clubs in Europe, including interest from Barcelona, Arsenal, Benfica and Juventus. Such interest just may see the club hold out on selling their man this transfer window, allowing others to bid up his price.
Internacional club president Giovanni Luigi responded to the interest for his player in an interview, saying, "We will see, we are going to wait. Right now, there is nothing about Damiao. We want him to stay, but I do not want to make a firm statement about this."
Tottenham have already secured the services of Manchester City reject Emmanuel Adebayor but are still looking to add to their attack, which hasn't stood up against the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City.
