According to Goal.com, Samir Nasri is of the belief that Arsenal lacked quality in comparison the Manchester City, saying, "There is a big squad here (Manchester City) but competition is good, it makes you push yourself and stops you from becoming stale.

He also suggested that perhaps Arsenal didn't have the ambition to win any silverware, saying, "I have heard people say I have moved for money. I make a good living at City, that is true, but I am 24 years old and I have reached a turning point in my career and it was important that I joined a club with ambition.”
Nasri also stated that the lack of new signings coupled with the number of players who left the club helped him to make his decision.
The £23 million move to the Etihad Stadium will surely bring to a close Manchester City's activity on the transfer market. After also acquiring Aguero and Clichy, they have a squad strong enough to challenge for the title in the UEFA Champions League.
