Arsenal Transfer Rumors: This Is Why Arsenal Want Eden Hazard (Video)

Eden Hazard, at just 20 years of age,  is already a player that already requires little or no introduction.

A Belgian attacking playmaker,who has been likened to both Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Hazard is unsurprisingly continuously linked with a host of top European clubs. Arsenal, who have already seen their midfield void increase due to departures to key players and injuries to the remaining few, seem to be leading the chase for the highly-rated Belgian.

Hazard has been an ever-constant in Lille's starting XI since making his debut as a 16-year-old. He is now the French outfit's prized asset, as he's been handed the responsibility to dictate the tempo of the team's attack and pull all the midfield strings.

The young Belgian has already clocked up 100-plus appearances for the French club, racking up a decent return of 16 goals in the process. He has won the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award on two separate occasions (2008 and 2009), and even won the senior award in 2010 for helping guide Lille to their first League and Cup double, becoming the youngest player to win the coveted prize.

Hazard is adept at playing on either flanks interchangeably, and can even play in "the hole"—a potential replacement for both Cesc and Nasri perhaps? His vision, dribbling and creativity are all known to be possessed by him in abundance, and have led to him being dubbed "little Messi" and even "Europe's most outstanding talent" on several occasions.

Whether the exciting playmaker would want join The Gunners, or even just leave Lille is yet to be seen. However, BBC is reporting that Arsene Wenger, who has been a long-time admirer of the midfielder, is finally looking to land his man

And given the video evidence, mostly emanating from YouTube, is it any wonder that Arsenal along with other European top powerhouses are interested in acquiring the mercurial Belgian's services?
