Juventus 4 - Genoa 1 (Serie A, November 13, 2008) Juventus moved into a tie for first place in Serie A, level on points with Inter having played a game more. Zdenek Grygera got the opener and Amauri headed home the second. Vincenzo Iaquinta, just a minute after coming on as a subsitute, added the third before Diego Milito pulled one back from the penalty spot. An own goal from Sokratis Papastathopoulos completed the scoring.

Udinese 0 - Reggina 0 (Pens. 8-7) (Coppa Italia, November 12, 2008) In a hard fought battle, Udinese had goalkeeper Emanuele Belardi (86) and striker Fabio Quagliarella (118) both sent off, while Reggina’s Hallfredsson missed an 88th minute penalty before the hosts won on spot-kicks.

Sampdoria 2 - Empoli 1 (Coppa Italia, November 12, 2008) Samp moved ahead thanks to a Emiliano Bonazzoli tap-in, and the lead was doubled with a Bruno Fornaroli penalty. Empoli's Francesco Lodi struck a left-footer into the bottom corner to give the visitors hope of a come back, which sadly never materialised.

Napoli 3 - Salernitana 1 (Coppa Italia, November 12, 2008)  Napoli were gifted the lead on 16 minutes when Maurizio Peccarisi put through his own net and Inacio Pia added a second nine minutes later. Arturo Di Napoli gave Salernitana hope with a goal five minutes after the break, but Marek Hamsik’s penalty three minutes later ended any chances of a comeback from the visitors.
