NFL Supplemental Draft: 6 Teams That Could Be Interested in Terrelle Pryor
Terrelle Pryor miraculously duped the NFL into making him eligible for the Supplemental Draft, although he is suspended for the first 5 games.
Now that he is eligible, teams are going to be interested in drafting this "freak" of an athlete, even if he is very raw and undeveloped at the quarterback position.
These are the six teams that are most likely to invest in the project that is Terrelle Pryor.
Washington Redskins
1 of 6The Redskins are in desperate need of a quarterback, and with Pryor in the supplemental draft, they'll be more than willing to take a gamble on him.
When John Beck believes he's your starter and Rex Grossman thinks the Redskins can make the Super Bowl, Pryor might even be an upgrade...
Miami Dolphins
2 of 6The Dolphins couldn't pull the trigger on an Orton-to-the-Dolphins deal, so instead they settled on having ex-Panthers backup Matt Moore and ex-Patriot Kevin O'Connell sign with the club.
We know how Chad Henne is viewed by everyone in Miami (minus Tony Sparano), so the probability the Dolphins would take a chance on Pryor is very high.
Cleveland Browns
3 of 6Colt McCoy showed he will be the starter for this team in 2011 by playing superbly against the Packers in preseason Week 1.
Colt has shown poise, leadership and the accuracy needed by a successful quarterback.
However, that being said, the Browns could take a chance on Pryor simply because they lack real depth at the position. Seneca Wallace is getting up there in age, and third-stringer Jarrett Brown hasn't done much to prove he is ready to play in this league.
Oakland Raiders
4 of 6We all know Al Davis has a penchant for drafting players based on specific qualities.
Be it speed, arm strength or size, Davis loves drafting guys who excel at one specific thing. He also doesn't mind drafting guys with character issues.
Pryor has size, speed and character issues—in other words, the attributes Davis can handle. Watch out for the Raiders to take a peek at Pryor before the draft.
Buffalo Bills
5 of 6I happen to really like Ryan Fitzpatrick.
He is a great quarterback in his own right, and he has a lot of great attributes that could make him an elite-level QB.
But Fitzpatrick is essentially the exact opposite of Pryor. He is bright, makes good decisions and has an NFL-caliber arm; none of these things can really be said about Pryor.
With a lack of depth at the position, the Bills could go all "yin and yang" on us and take a look at Fitzpatrick's polar opposite.
San Francisco 49ers
6 of 6Jim Harbaugh might see a project in Terrelle Pryor that he would like to pursue.
Alex Smith continues to fail under the pressure and ruins the chances he is given, while Colin Kaepernick is too young to take advantage of Smith's pitfalls.
Josh McNown was just signed to be the third-teamer for the 49ers, but if they took a look at Daunte Culpepper, I'm sure they'd be willing to take a chance on Pryor.
