Inter Milan Transfer News: Samuel Eto'o Set for Russian Move
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is reportedly set to leave Inter Milan this week and pen a deal with Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
On 10 August, ESPN Soccernet reported that Anzhi were willing to offer the Cameroonian international around €20 million a season in wages. The transfer fee would also cost the Russians €30-40 million.
The striker's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, told La Gazzetta dello Sport that a deal is in the works.

"We have almost reached an agreement with Anzhi," he said. "Now we hope that the clubs agree."
Inter president Massimo Moratti has also confirmed that the club are in talks with Anzhi over a possible deal for Eto'o.
"The offer is not indecent, but it is not up to me to evaluate it," Moratti said. "In fact, it is intelligent, interesting and fair. Now it is up to us and Eto'o to evaluate it."
Should Inter sell Eto'o to free up some additional funds?
Definitely not. The Nerazzurri should be keen on dethroning current Serie A champions AC Milan, and selling Eto'o only puts Inter further behind the Rossoneri.
Eto'o, a proven goal scorer, scored an astounding 37 goals in all competitions last season. If he leaves the San Siro, where will Inter's goals come from?
