Carling Cup is Arsenal's for Sure
An Arsenal side with an average age of 19 ran a feeble Wigan ragged and scored three brilliant goals in the Carling Cup, and you can't help but think Arsenal have a huge chance to win their first Carling Cup under Arsene Wenger and their first trophy since 2005.
Arsenal's Carling Cup Squad midfield is one of the reasons the Arsenal side is so dominant and it showed as they outclassed Wigan. Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Fran Merida, and Mark Randall were all superb in the Arsenal midfield which boast strength, skill, fine and accurate passing, and all round dominance.
Aaron Ramsey was superb, showing amazing strength and maturity, not to mention some perfect passing into the box that caused mass headaches for Steve Bruce's men.

Jack Wilshere was Man of the Match and why not, he showed excellent balance and composure, great speed, dazzling skills, and fine runs—and the best part is he is 16 and has a massive future.
Wilshere is sure to play a huge part in the Arsenal squad in years to come.
Fran Merida is hailed as the "next Fabregas" and tonight he showed why. Merida showed he is equipped with great playmaking and maturity skills and unbelievable perspective passing. He tore through the Wigan defence many times and could have easily had a goal.
Jay Simpson saw his first Arsenal start and he capped it of with two brilliant goals. Simpson has excellent balance and strength and is a keen striker, his shot was a nightmare for the otherwise solid Chris Kirkland.
Finally the wonderkid, Mr Cool who always has a smile on his face—Carlos Vela. A great night was capped off with one of the goals of the season. Vela speed, feet and coolness was all to much for Wigan as he cut open the Wigan defence. Vela is no doubt worldclass and will definitely be one of the best strikers around. With Adebayor out injured, Carlos Vela is sure to see a lot of first team action, and I'm sure he will make his mark.
These are just some of the outstanding youngsters in the Arsenal Carling Cup squad which boast such youthful talent:
