Goals of the Round
2 of 10Here are the five best goals of the week. Some slides require you to watch a little extra action until you see the actual highlight. Nevertheless they're all here. Without further ado....
5. A Great "Pass" Leads to Own Goal
3 of 10First play of the video.
This goal made the cut because it came off an awful header. The ball rebounds off the defender and ends up in the net.
4. Great Team Play and Easy Finish by Esqueda
4 of 10First play in the video.
The finish was simple, but the team play was great. The give-and-go play made the defenders fall asleep. Once #19 got through and saw the keeper come out, a pass to Esqueda led to Pachuca's first goal.
3. Nice Piece of Skill from Lugo Turns into Great Goal
5 of 10Goal at 40 seconds.
On a counter attack, Morelia was outnumbered. "Who cares?" says Lugo, who jukes a defender and sets up a nice touch pass to a trailing teammate for the score.
2. Benitez's Heel Touch
6 of 10First play of the video
This goal caught the crowd by surprise. After a header from the America player, Benitez embarrasses the Tigres goalie by not only finishing with his heel, but also by putting the ball between his legs. Great goal!
1. Chilena!
7 of 10First play of the video.
Amazing. After the first defender (#3) falls asleep on the play, a Santos player heads for the box for what seems like an easy goal. Somehow, a defender blocks the shot and the ball is sent up into the air. Perlata's Chilena, a promising young talent, finishes and gives Santos fans a reason to celebrate. A true 'GOLAZO!'
