Cesc Fabregas: FC Barcelona Formally Introduces No. 4

Roberto Alvarez-GallosoJun 7, 2018

Cesc Fabregas was formally introduced to the public by FC Barcelona after nearly a decade at Arsenal. He received the shirt with the number four emblazoned on it.

The news was made public in an article by Anna Segura on the FC Barcelona web page. The introduction was witnessed by many Barca fans who descended on Camp Nou to see history in the making.

Fabregas posed for the cameras in front of the FC Barcelona symbol. Fabregas was seen smiling with the face of a person returning to his home after a long absence.

Fabregas proceeded to kiss the wall where the FC Barcelona logo was located. He continued to place his hand where his heart is as a gesture of thanks to Barcelona.

While the buyout clause of Fabregas is €200 million Euros, I doubt that he will leave anytime. According to Leo Messi (and published at ESPN Soccer Net), Fabregas has expressed a desire to return to Barca during his time with the Gunners.

I think that Fabregas wanted a return to FC Barcelona secondary to the links with the club of his childhood. At a time when people think about money for transfers, there are people who express a desire to return home since it (home) is where the heart is.

It is hoped that Fabregas begins a new era for FC Barcelona in the 2011-12 La Liga Season as proof that the homecoming was worth the wait, time, effort and money.
