Oregon Football: Jersey Suggestions for the 2011 Season

Joe PenkalaJun 7, 2018

With the game in Dallas growing closer and closer by the day, Oregon and its fans are preparing for the seasons-opening kickoff.

When looking at the Oregon football program, one part that never goes unnoticed is how the Ducks look on the field.

As all fans prepare for the season, here are some uniform combination suggestions for the 2011 season.

LSU

1 of 12

Yes, we already know that Oregon is going to wear new uniforms against LSU, but when you are in the national spotlight, there would be no better time to stick with your school colors and put your program on display for the nation.

Nevada

2 of 12

For the first home game of the year, Oregon takes on Nevada and should go with this slick and fast look. The black-yellow-black combination has been successful, and this game would continue that track record.

Missouri State

3 of 12

In one of the few games that may not receive a lot of national attention, the Ducks can go crazy here and wear whatever they would like. Last year against a lower level opponent, Oregon went with this look and rocked it again against Missouri State. It may be a good time to break it out again.

Arizona

I believe that when you reverse a trend you go with it. The last time the Ducks were in the desert, they went with the green-white-black, the same combination that saw Dennis Dixon go to the ground.

After that combination produced one victory, it's time to go back for a second.

Cal

5 of 12

When the Ducks welcome in Cal, the two will play on a Thursday night and ESPN will be sure to be there. Again, when you have the national attention, go with a solid look like this green-green-black combination.

Arizona State

6 of 12

In 2008, the Ducks gave their fans a preview of what was to come for the jerseys in 2009. With a night game scheduled at home against Arizona, the Ducks broke out their blackout look and won 55-45.

With Arizona State coming into town, the all black look would be a welcomed sight.

Colorado

7 of 12

When Oregon plays Colorado for the first time in conference play, the Ducks should bring out their national championship look and properly welcome Colorado to the conference.

Washington State

8 of 12

When Washington State comes to town, the Ducks can continue to sport their true school colors with a little bit of a twist by going with a green-green-carbon combination.

Washington

9 of 12

A slight variation to the storm trooper look is this uniform combination that Oregon last wore on the road against Tennessee. It helped produce a victory over the Vols, and there is no reason it will not do the same against the Huskies.

Stanford

10 of 12

In perhaps one of the biggest games of the year, Oregon must play their best, which means they need to look their best. Bring out the black-white-black combination and try to take down the Cardinal on the road.

USC

11 of 12

When wearing this combination last year, the Ducks put up 72 points. When USC comes to town, the Ducks will be looking to put up big point totals, so why not bring this combination back out.

Oregon State

12 of 12

Two years ago, Duck fans got a treat early in the year as they brought back a throwback look for their game against Cal. This look was great and was widely loved by fans across college football. The look also brought the Ducks a 42-3 win.

There would be no better time then against Oregon State to bring this look back when the Ducks look for their fourth straight Civil War victory.
