London Riots Could Postpone London Premier League Fixtures
London has been on the front page of newspapers the world over for all the wrong reasons this week.
Riots have taken the city by storm over the weekend and early this week. Young thugs have vandalized, destroyed and burned buildings, shops and flats in different neighborhoods throughout the city.
This has been a major concern for the Premier League front office with three games scheduled to be played this weekend in London at QPR, Fulham and Tottenham. London's police force has already been stretched thin throughout the city combating the rebelling youth gangs.

Premier League officials are concerned that neighborhoods such as Tottenham may not be safe for supporters to attend the fixtures over the weekend.
Several games have already been canceled that were suppose to be played in the middle of the week, including Wednesday's international friendly at Wembley Stadium with the Netherlands squaring off against England.
Tottenham Hotspur players have come out in their support of the Premier League and the FA. Younes Kaboul emphasizing the fans safety stating:
""It would be preferable to postpone the match for the sake of the fans' safety."
"
However, other players remain hopeful that the riots will fizzle out and the games can go on as scheduled. Players do not want to be forced into playing an extra game during the week somewhere down the line, and they certainly do not like the idea of postponing the first fixture of the season.
Tottenham defender Beniot Assou-Ekotto spelled out the overlapping consensus of most players and supporters about the possibility of missing the first game of the new campaign against Everton.
""I hope the match against Everton goes ahead. The season is busy enough as it is. If we don't play the first match, it will mean playing two games in a week. We play enough of those in England. I hope sport will calm things down."
"
Whatever happens with the London fixtures this weekend, everyone is hoping the riots cease, London can get back to normal and football can be played.
