EPL Transfer News: 10 Deals That Will Happen
With the English Premier League (EPL) almost a fortnight away, clubs continue contemplating long into the night about selling "x" player and signing "y" player.
How will losing "x" player, the captain and the midfield maestro affect the season? Will "y" player be the definitive reason in winning the Premiership?
Here are 10 deals involving EPL clubs which will happen by the end of the transfer window.
10. Craig Bellamy to Be One of 11 New Arrivals at the Stadium of Light
1 of 10According to footie-online.co.uk, Manchester City outcast Craig Bellamy will join Sunderland, and become their 11th new signing this season.
There's no point in Bellamy staying at Etihad Stadium, aside from training with the reserves, and picking up wages for doing nothing.
If Sunderland do sign Bellamy, it will be a bargain and it would be a shrewd signing from manager Steve Bruce.
How will Sunderland play cohesive football with so many new signings?
9. Farvel Farvel Nicklas Bendtner
2 of 10According to the Metro, Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner will join Sporting Lisbon, who have overhauled their entire squad.
Potentially Bendtner could find himself in a similar situation at Arsenal with the ever impressive Ricky van Wolfswinkel, and Hélder Postiga potentially ahead of him.
Are Arsenal fans happy with Bendtner leaving?
8. Juan Manuel Mata to Be a Gunner
3 of 10According to Goal.com, Arsenal will break the bank to make Valencia's Juan Manuel Mata the most expensive player in Gunner's history.
The transfer fee is estimated to be £17 million, which is a bargain for someone as talented as Mata.
What it does show is no club wanted Mata, or were willing to break the bank for Mata.
Can Mata replicate his success in La Liga to the EPL?
7. Cameron Jerome Will Play in the EPL
4 of 10According to Mirror Football, Bolton Wanderers, Fulham and Stoke City are all eyeing up relegated Birmingham City's Cameron Jerome.
Jerome endured his worse goal scoring season with five goals in 42 games, and hasn't had a definitive season since the 2005-06 season, where he scored 20 goals in 47 games for Cardiff City.
How many goals do you think Jerome will score in the EPL this season?
6. Scott Dann to Be a Chelsea Player?
5 of 10According to the Daily Mail, Birmingham City's Scott Dann wants to continue playing in the EPL, and Chelsea may be his final destination.
Though only if Serbian Slobodan Rajković fails to get a work permit.
Dann moving to Chelsea would have parrells when then Reading player Steve Sidwell called Stamford Bridge home.
Good squad players, hard honest professionals but perhaps not Chelsea quality.
Is Dann good enough to be a Chelsea player?
5. Arsène Wenger Spending Money? Phil Jagielka the Latest Big Signing
6 of 10According to the Telegraph, Arsenal will test Everton's resolve with a £15 million for Phil Jagielka.
If this transfer does go through, then this would be very unlike Arsène Wenger, given that Arsenal will not recoup or make a profit off Jagielka in the future.
For me, Christopher Samba would be a better signing. What do you think?
4. Romelu Lukaku to Live His Dream of Being a Chelsea Player
7 of 10According to tribalfootball.com, Anderlecht prodigy Romelu Lukaku will only become a Chelsea player if a £20 million transfer fee is paid.
This is a no-brainer, Chelsea have to sign Lukaku, because there is so much upside to his game that he could potentially develop into a future FIFA Ballon d'Or winner.
Do you think Lukaku is overrated?
3. Gracias Y Adiós Carlos Tévez
8 of 10According to Goal.com, never happy Manchester City captain Carlos Tévez will seek a move to Inter Milan, having been forced out of Etihad Stadium after being effectively replaced by Sergio Agüero.
I don't see why any club would take a risk on Tévez given his character issues, his disloyalty and his homesickness—ironically when he was a Boca Juniors player, he couldn't wait to get out of Buenos Aires.
Will any club take the risk with Tévez?
2. Luka Modrić to Force a Move to Chelsea
9 of 10According to Crunch Sports, Tottenham Hotspur's Luka Modrić will force a move to Chelsea, whilst Chelsea will submit an improved offer for Modrić, after Paris Saint-Germain won the bidding war over Chelsea to sign Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore.
Modrić will give Chelsea more balance, he'll be able to orchestrate the midfield and give a spark of creativity that Chelsea lack in midfield.
Or would it better for Chelsea to stick with Yossi Benayoun or give Josh McEachran a chance.
1. Cesc Fàbregas Update
10 of 10According to tribalfootball.com, Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola insists Thiago Alcântara's brilliant form will not influence his decision in either signing or not signing Arsenal's midfield maestro Cesc Fàbregas.
What we know and just using common sense, it seems there is at least a £10 million gap between what Barcelona are willing to pay and what Arsenal are willing to sell Fàbregas at.
I'd much rather Thiago get his chance to shine and if Fàbregas is so adamant about joining Barcelona, join them for free after the 2014 season.
Who would you prefer: Thiago or Fàbregas?
