Moving to Italy
After a single season with the Montenegrin outfit, such were his performances, at the young age of 18, that he was signed by Lecce and was slotted into the youth team to learn the language and also understand the Italian style of the game better.
After struggling to adapt for a couple of seasons, Vucinic proved his worth by become a first team player in his third season, in which he appeared 28 times and scored five goals.
The 2004 - 2005 season (fifth season) was the breakout season of his career in which he appeared 31 times and scored 22 goals. While being linked with many big clubs during the summer of 2005, he got injured and was forced to stay at the club for another season.
Roma move
Roma signed Vucinic on loan during the 2006 summer for a fee of €3.25 million and signed him on a co-ownership the season after. Roma paid Lecce another €12 million during the summer of 2008 to fully own the player.
Vucinic appeared in the Roma jersey 200 times and scored 63 goals.
It was announced today that Vucinic has bought by Juventus for €15 million and that the player has signed a four-year contract.
