Manchester United Can Be Arsenal's Turn Around

Callum D'SouzaNov 5, 2008

With losses to Fulham, Hull City, Stoke City and draws that should of been wins to the likes of Tottenham and Sunderland, Arsenal have not had the greatest start to the season plus Arsenal had the easiest opening games out of the Big Four.

Also there have been rumours of fighting in the dressing rooms and arguments at training, all does not look well for Arsenal at the current time but that can all change when they play Manchester United at the Emirates this weekend.

It is bound to be a huge game with both sides hungry for points since both teams have dropped them in games they should of taken all 3. Arsenal will be without inform  Dutch striker Robin van Persie who was suspended in Arsenals 2-1 loss to Stoke Citylast weekend.

Hopefully, this will mean a start for youngster Carlos Vela, Vela scored a hattrick in Arsenals 6-0 drubbing of Sheffield United in the Carling Cup. Vela is an athletic striker who is extremely smart and has a huge bag of tricks up his sleeves which just might be able to cut open the United defence.

Arsenal have also had more salt hashed onto their wounds with their star Togolese striker out with a niggling ankle injury that happend agiasnt Stoke. Two other first team stars in Theo Walcott and Bacary Sanga are expected to play subject to fitness.

Arsenal despreately need Walcotts zipping speed and spectacular balance for the clash with Manchester and Bacary Sanga defence traits is also hugely important to shut down the likes of Nani, Giggs and Anderson who will all be probing down the right.

Tomas Rosicky, Eduardo, Amaury Bischoff and William Gallas are also expected to miss the match and this is a massive blow as Tomas Rosicky could no doubt carve threw Uniteds defence and be a huge threat to Van Der Sar.

Eduardo Da Silva coolness and calmness in front of goal is also something Arsenal will surely miss. With many of Arsenals talented strikers out it opens the chance door for massively talented young striker Jay Simpson who last year was on loan at League one outfit Millwall, Simpson ended up netting a hand full of goals and collected League one player of the year.

Hopefully Simpson is given a chance to show what he can do and hopefully provide a break through.

It will no doubt be a tough challenge especially without star strikers Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor. Van Persie's creativity and balance is an absolutely huge threat to United's defence and not to mention his left foot which is probably the most powerful one in the world.

Adebayors pace, height and strength is also a big factor that Arsenal will lack with out him but I believe they can do it and that the win will give them a turn around, much like the Spur's one had, I am extremely optimistic that Arsenal will get their season back on track after a win against our fierce rivals Manchester United.
