At this moment we're being fed a steady diet of fastballs from Major League Baseball while the NFL and NBA continue to throw us curve balls.
Regardless, sports junkies everywhere are always in need of a fix and will find a reason to watch.
Here are the top five things you can look forward to this upcoming week.
5. Wesley Sneijder Transfers to Manchester United
1 of 5Love it or hate it "soccer" is the world's most beloved game.
Odds are this week that the world's biggest team will have one of the world's best come play for them.
Rumors have it that 27- year- old midfielder and current Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder will be transferred to Manchester United.
Man U is known as the New York Yankees of "soccer" and will pay around 40 M Euros, or about $56 M USD for Sneijder's services.
For now fans will have to wait and see if the deal goes down.
This may be the biggest story in sports around the world this week.
4. CC Sabathia Looks to Continue His Dominance

Seven of those wins have in consecutive starts as Sabathia is having the best stretch of his career.
In his last five starts CC Sabathia has only allowed 2 ER while compiling 50 SO in 39.2 IP. Wow.
CC Sabathia will face-off against Tampa Bay Rays pitcher James Shields on Thursday the 21st.
The last time these two men met was July 10 where they both threw complete games as Sabathia got the 1-0 W.
3. St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Heading into the week the two teams currently sit .5 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers for the NL Central lead.

Both teams will be looking to make a statement for the rest of the season as the two teams have 13 games remaining against one another.
Pittsburgh currently hold the season series lead at 2-1.
2. MLB Hall of Fame Induction

On July 24 the three men will forever be enshrined in baseball history.
Roberto Alomar hit .300 and won two World Series in his 17 year career.
Bert Blyleven won 287 games in 22 years. Blyleven won two World Series and compiled 3701 SO, good for fifth all-time.
Pat Gillick was a three time World Series winning GM. Gillick won in 1992 and 1993 with the Toronto Blue Jays and in 2008 with the Philadelphia Phillies.
