La Liga XI, Excluding Barcelona and Real Madrid Players
The point that's made over and over again is that if there's any All-Star team, it will not represent the La Liga fairly, since most of the players selected would be from Real Madrid and Barcelona with the exception of one or two others.
In that regard, I have made a list of 11 players which exclude all Barcelona and Madrid players as well as the usual names which pop up in Rossi and Forlan, who would make almost any La Liga All-Star team.
The aim of this list is not to just point out players from other teams who have the ability but also to show some level of skill within the league despite the view that it's a two horse race.
But at the same time, I do acknowledge that La Liga cannot be compared to the Premier League in terms of overall strength that smaller teams in England show week in and week out providing some competition towards the big five.
Spanish football at a national level is represented by two or three teams, and as we see youngsters coming through from smaller clubs, they are snatched up by the big boys.
So while many might ask what's my argument, it is simply that I understand and agree most of the best players are represented by Madird and Barca and they are the players you would usually find in The Best XI, I felt the need to create a team based on players outside that box.
*No Real Madrid or Barcelona FC Players
*Rossi excluded
*No more than one player from each team
