Manchester City Transfer Rumours: 5 Likely Destinations for Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez is not happy in Manchester. He wants out. That much is clear, but what isn't clear, is where he will end up.  

Tevez has stated that he wants to be closer to home, so a move to recently rumored Brazilian club Corinthians or even to Boca Juniors would make sense.

However, can those small clubs shell out the money that Manchester City is requiring? Or will a bigger club have to step up?

A team like Chelsea, perhaps

Here's a look at five possible destinations for Carlos Tevez.  

Corinthians

The Brazilian football club has reportedly put in an offer somewhere between £35 million and £40 million for Carlos Tevez.

Manchester City has denied the bid, and is apparently waiting for a £50 million offer, but an out-of-league transfer would make a lot of sense for Roberto Mancini and company.

Corinthians, however, is probably the most likely South American club that could cough up the right amount of money for Tevez. 

Both sides would seemingly win with this move, as the Argentinian striker, who spent 2004-2006 with Corinthians, would be much closer to home, while Manchester City, who must get rid of Tevez, wouldn't have to face the talented forward twice a season.  

Chelsea

With plenty of rumors about Nicolas Anelka and possibly Didier Drogba leaving Chelsea this summer, there may be an empty hole alongside Fernando Torres up front. 

Enter the Carlos Tevez rumors.

Chelsea has reportedly offered Man City £50 million for the Argentinian international.

It's a bigger offer obviously than Corinthians', but it would mean that Man City would have to see their star with one of their biggest rivals.

The move for Chelsea is smart as long as Drogba leaves town.

However, having Torres, Drogba and Tevez together on the same team wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. It would put Tevez in a similar situation that he's in with Argentina—too much talent up front.  

Inter Milan

Carlos Tevez hasn't been linked with Inter Milan as much as of late, but Inter captain Javier Zanetti has recently expressed his want for signing the Argentinian striker. 

Tevez would certainly help fill the void if Inter lets go of Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United.

However, if Tevez is serious about getting being closer to home, this probably wouldn't be an ideal move for him, as San Siro is probably just as far away from Argentina as Manchester.

Still though, Italian culture is probably much closer to what Tevez is used to, and possibly that would help the home sickness.

But I digress.

I just don't see Carlos Tevez ending up with Inter Milan. 

Manchester City

At this point, Manchester City fans probably don't even want to see Carlos Tevez come back.

He has criticized the city, he has whined on multiple occasions, he wants out and his faults are starting to out-weight his talent on the ball.

However, City seems to be holding out for a very expensive bid, and if no one is willing to give up the money for the 27-year-old, Tevez could be stuck in Manchester.

Boca Juniors

This is a long-shot, because as previously stated, Manchester City is waiting for a £50 million offer, and there is no way that Boca will be able to cough up that type of money.

However, Boca is home for Tevez and if City lowers the price and the Argentinian is serious about being closer to family, they would have to be the No. 1 choice.

Tevez has stated that he would go back to Argentina, and if the price can be negotiated, I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen.
