Carlos Tevez Saga: Manchester City Will Not Be Pushed Around

Well, here we go again. Carlos Tevez wants to leave. Where have we heard this before? 

At United, he felt unappreciated; at City he was appreciated more than any other player. What did he do? He thought of another excuse. This time it was his family. Funny how he didn't mention that when he left United.

Carlos Tevez is a talented player, there is no debating that. However, he is either extremely naive, a horrible liar or a mere puppet of his criminal agent who is looking for another payday.

The bad news for Tevez is that he is on a contract with three years remaining on it. There are only a few clubs who are available to pay his wages—or who want to put up with the least loyal footballer in the game. City control his destiny, not Kia Joorabchian. 

Manchester City's board will not allow Tevez to dictate the terms or force his way out. City will want to be compensated. Not only for the talent, but also for the headaches that have been caused. 

It is rumored that City want 50 million pounds for Tevez, as reported by Bloomberg. They will likely demand that any buyer take on Tevez' full salary. This alone should scare off most potential buyers. Tevez can say he wants to go anywhere he wants, but if that club doesn't meet City's demands, he stays.

City have offered ways for Tevez to stay and then leave on his terms at a later date; however, it seems that his agent wants the payday. Sorry Kia, it won't be that easy.

Carlos Tevez is now the equivalent of a football hostage. He (or his agent) wants to leave; City own his rights. Who will pay the hefty ransom? My guess is not many people.

Kia, you made a big mistake and you have advised your client very poorly. You have made him the most hated man in Manchester. Tevez is asking for his supporters to understand his reasons for wanting to leave. We, as supporters, may understand them, but we can also read the finer print and see the actions taking place in the background. 

Not a single intelligent human being will believe a word that Tevez says. City and their supporters all know that his reasons are merely a smokescreen set up by his agent for a payday. 

In the words of John Adams: "Facts are stubborn things." Carlos Tevez is about to learn that the hard way, as City will play hardball.

Carlos, you did great things for the club, but you and your agent have also done everything you could to drag the club through the mud. 

I warn anyone who wants him: Buyer BEWARE!
