Chelsea Beating Real Madrid In Popularity Stakes?

The ‘biggest club in the world’ and the club that every player would surely want to play for given the chance – with the exception of a certain Portuguese goal machine this summer maybe – don’t seem to have the same pull they used to.
You see, when it comes to a straight choice between the Spanish side and Chelsea, one up-and-coming youngster says there’s no contest. 18 year old Madrid target Alan Dzagoev, who’s stand-out performances for CSKA Moscow have recently caught the eye of Real’s scouts has made it clear he’d prefer West London to the Spanish capital.
The humble attacking midfielder, when asked about Real’s interest stated “I’m sure it isn’t serious”, although despite committing his immediate future to CSKA, when pressed about any potential move in the future, the youngster admitted he would choose Chelsea over Real Madrid.
The young Russian stated “basically I like Chelsea more. I have supported the team for four years already.” He also talked about his preference in terms of squad management, stating “the squad rotation, for example. There are about 22 players in the squad, but each is as important as the other and they all play regularly.”
And whilst that might not be entirely the case, maybe Real’s treatment of Robinho this summer has finally come back to haunt them?
