NBA Trades: 3-Team Trade Shakes Up 2011 NBA Draft Order

NBA Trades See Charlotte, Sacramento and Milwaukee Shake Up Draft Order With Five-Player, Three-Pick Trade

It didn't take long for the 2011 NBA draft to get crazy. We are still a few hours away from the clock truly starting and three teams have jumped the gun and shown their cards before the players start coming off the board.

According to ESPN's Chad Ford and echoed by ESPN's Ric Bucher, the deal is such (via @chadfordinsider):

"

Bucks get Beno (Udrih), Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston & 19. Bobcats get pick 7 & (Corey) Maggette. Kings get 10 & John Salmons.

"

So to recap, the Milwaukee Bucks, original owners of the No. 10 pick, Corey Maggette and John Salmons, will get Beno Udrih, Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston and the No. 19 overall pick.

The Charlotte Bobcats, original owners of No. 19 pick, Stephen Jackson and Shaun Livingston, get the No. 7 pick and Corey Maggette.

And finally, the Sacramento Kings, original owners of the No. 7 pick and Beno Udrih, will get the No. 10 pick and John Salmons.

The Bucks move down nine spots but bag a number of players, including the deal's best, Beno Udrih, as they try to make a push for the postseason in the East next season. They land Stephen Jackson in the deal as well, but Chad Ford is already reporting that he "isn't happy" with the trade.

The Bucks have worked out Markieff Morris of Kansas and are likely hoping he falls down the board to No. 19 for them.

Charlotte makes an impressive move getting rid of a 33-year-old Stephen Jackson and netting themselves a second top-10 pick. By moving up to No. 7, we should expect to see them target Texas forward Tristan Thompson, who has been the likely pick of the Detroit Pistons at No. 8.

At No. 9, they'll have to see what comes of the rest of the board, but Washington State's Klay Thompson, Colorado's Alec Burks, Florida State's Chris Singleton and Congo's Bismack "The Business" Biyombo, a.k.a "B-Smack" will be the likely targets.

Sacramento now moves to No. 10 from No. 7 and will still have the same decision they had before, only with John Salmons instead of Beno Udrih. The Kings need a point guard, and Kemba Walker and Jimmer Fredette, two of college basketball's most prolific names, could both be available for the picking.

We've heard for a long time (including in the Ford story) that the Maloof Brothers, owners of the Kings, covet Jimmer Fredette, and picking at No. 10 rather than No. 7 could be the justification they wanted to make the selection.

The two biggest things to take away from this is that Kemba Walker could slide down the draft board, and now that Charlotte has shown their hand by moving up to No. 7, at least with what we expect to see, other teams will now be able to plan around that.

This could come back to bite Charlotte in the back if the Pistons decide that they really want someone and don't trust the Bobcats to let him through from No. 7 to No. 8.

The draft hasn't even started yet and things have already gone off the tracks, so to speak. Keep an eye on the trade wire for the rest of the evening, because if this move is any indication, it will only get crazier from here.
