Final Consensus 2011 NBA Mock Draft: First Round Projections, Top 5 Scorers

Ethan NorofJun 23, 2011

The 2011 NBA Draft is going to be scoured on Thursday night for scorers by teams that are looking to add instant offense.

After watching Kemba Walker dominate the collegiate ranks with his prolific scoring style, it should be very intriguing to see where the UConn product ultimately lands.

With absolutely nothing set in stone other than the start time of the draft, let's take a look at the five best scoring options.

Jordan Hamilton

1 of 6

Jordan Hamilton took a major step forward in his production last season at Texas, and he's hoping that his proclivity to find the bottom of the net lends itself to the NBA game.

He's got the skills to score from inside or out, and his ability to pull up and wet the jumper should really provide him with a nice arsenal heading into his rookie season.

Marshon Brooks

2 of 6

Marshon Brooks might have played at Providence, but just because that's not a basketball powerhouse doesn't mean that Brooks' talent is not for real.

Blessed with a wingspan better than seven feet, Brooks' insane length and lateral quickness can help him get around defenders and drive toward the hole, or pull up right over them and find the bottom of the net.

Kemba Walker

3 of 6

Kemba Walker was the most exciting player to watch in college basketball last season, and it's not surprising considering how great of a scoring prowess he has.

He might be a bit undersized, but there's no denying that he's got all of the skills to continue and fill it up no matter where he lands in the draft. Walker is going to make teams that passed on him regret it.

Alec Burks

4 of 6

Alec Burks has seen his stock drop over recent weeks, but if his production at Colorado is a harbinger of things to come for him, he shouldn't slide all that far.

Burks has shown the ability to score from everywhere on the court, and teams that are looking to add a scorer are going to be in search of someone with a versatile attack like his.

Charles Jenkins

5 of 6

Similar to Marshon Brooks, Charles Jenkins is a big time talent coming from a smaller school. And just like Brooks, Jenkins should have no trouble succeeding along the perimeter at the professional level.

He shot better than 56 percent from two-point range and over 40 percent from three-point range, so although he's getting most of his buzz as an outside shooter, Jenkins has range from everywhere on the floor.
