NBA Trade Rumors: Latest Rumors Roundup Leading Up to NBA Draft Night 2011
The 2011 NBA Draft is just a few hours away, so naturally, trade rumors and speculation are really starting to pick up at a record pace.
Teams are trying to better their draft position or get rid of salary cap restrictions. Other teams are in search of veteran contributors or just looking to bring new pieces into the mix.
Some of the rumors are literally just smokescreen that teams put out on the wire to throw other teams off of their true intentions in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Either way, things are going crazy.
Here are some big names that could potentially be on the move, just to wet your whistle and excite you for what you will find ahead: Tony Parker, Andre Iguodala and Lamar Odom, just to name a few.

Here’s a roundup of the latest rumors leading up to draft night.
Andre Miller Talk Heats Up
1 of 6Jonathan Givony of Draft Express tweeted that Portland and Orlando are talking about sending Andre Miller and the No. 21 pick to Orlando in return for Jameer Nelson.
Thunder Shopping Eric Maynor
2 of 6Chad Ford of ESPN is reporting that the Oklahoma City Thunder are shopping guard Eric Maynor in order to move up into the first half of the draft.
Andre Iguodala Proposed to Lakers
3 of 6Sam Amick of SI.com is reporting that league sources are indicating that the 76ers have discussed trading Andre Iguodala to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Lamar Odom and, potentially, Ron Artest thrown into the deal to keep the Lakers under the salary cap.
Either way, it seems Philadelphia has been shopping Iguodala pretty hard lately.
ESPN Insider has also cited recent rumors involving Iguodala to the Clippers for Chris Kaman, to the Warriors for Monta Ellis, and to the Magic for Hedo Turkoglu and Jameer Nelson.
Houston Rockets Looking to Trade for Draft Picks
4 of 6Jonathan Givony of Draft Express stated via his Twitter account that the Houston Rockets are proposing to trade guard Courtney Lee to Milwaukee in exchange for the No. 10 overall pick.
The Rockets are apparently very eager to make a trade, and according to ESPN’s Andy Katz, they have given the Minnesota Timberwolves as many as ten different trade scenarios for the No. 2 overall pick in return.
Lamar Odom to Timerwolves or Warriors
5 of 6Broderick Turner of The Los Angeles Times has reported that the Lakers were trying to shop around sixth man of the year Lamar Odom.
The Lakers offered up Odom to the Minnesota Timberwolves in return for the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. Los Angeles was reportedly interested in using it to obtain Derrick Williams. The Lakers were denied the trade, though Minnesota countered back, asking for Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum, but the Lakers were not interested.
CBS Sports is reporting that the Lakers also offered Odom, along with Shannon Brown, to Golden State for Monta Ellis, but that trade was denied.
Spurs Shopping Tony Parker
6 of 6The Spurs are reportedly very interested in moving down into the lottery, and according to ESPN Insider, they are actively shopping around Tony Parker, and now they are even throwing George Hill into the mix.
Sam Amick of SI.com wrote today about a possible trade scenario involving Tony Parker and Sacramento.
The complication with this trade, or with any trade involving Parker, for that matter, is that the Spurs reportedly will only trade Parker if Richard Jefferson can be shipped out as well.
