FC Chelsea: Ashley Cole Looking to 'Sign Back' Former Love Cheryl Tweedy

This may not exactly be football news, but one interesting development surrounding Chelsea is that star defender Ashley Cole is set to win back his ex-wife Cheryl Cole, as this publication suggests.

Cheryl Tweedy has been single after her break up with Derek Hough, and her bitter marriage break-up with serial cheater Ashley Cole, combined with her loneliness could prompt her to get back with Mr. Cole. 

The 27-year-old singer will not rule out a reconciliation with the Chelsea and England footballer, and close friends of former Mrs. Cole confirmed she recently returned to their $5 million marital home in Surrey to spend an evening together. 

As reported, the England defender re-established a tentative friendship after she was axed from the US 'X Factor' via texts. 

Cheryl's family do not want her to get back with Ashley. They've started talking again, and friends are terrified he'll worm his way back into her affections and she'll take him back, said a source close to the 'Girls Aloud' singer.  

This could well be a a major boost for Ashley Cole, and if he does succeed to crawl back into Cheryl's life yet again, look for to the the Chelsea defender to be super confident ahead of next season.
