SEC Power Rankings After Week Nine
In addition to ranking the SEC, check out the combined rankings with the ACC thrown into the mix as well.
1. Alabama
The Crimson Tide just keeps rolling through the SEC with an impressive road win over a competitive Tennessee. Ark St. at home this week before the big showdown at LSU.
2 (tie). Florida
Gators were very impressive in dismantling Kentucky. A huge game this weekend will decide the SEC East against Georgia.
2 (tie). Georgia
Bulldogs went on the road and were in control for 60 minutes against LSU. Knowshon Moreno vaulted himself back into the Heisman with a big game. UGA heads to Jax trying to replicate last year’s energy.
4. LSU
LSU’s quarterback situation finally reared its ugly head on Saturday. I thought the lines were disappointing too, but this is still a very good team overall.
5. South Carolina
There is a pretty big drop from four to five in the rankings, but give South Carolina credit for rebounding after two early SEC losses.
6. Ole Miss
7. Vanderbilt
8. Kentucky
9. Arkansas
10. Auburn
11. Tennessee
12. Miss State
I am not so sure top to bottom, the ACC isn’t the SEC’s equal at this point in the season. I mean, Duke did go into Nashville and beat Vanderbilt. The SEC is clearly better at the top, but after LSU there is a huge drop-off to the rest of the conference right now.
