Will TideyJun 16, 2011

Tottenham's Luka Modric continues to be linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.

The 25-year-old midfielder is attracting the interest of a host of Europe's top clubs, and there's even been talk of a reported £22 million bid from Chelsea.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp responded to those reports by saying £22 million was a "ridiculous" amount to offer.

"There are people being sold for £20m who are not fit to lace Luka's boots," he told BBC Sport—read the full story here.

Redknapp maintains the Croatian international is not for sale, but that hasn't stopped me putting together a list of five possible destinations.

Barcelona were linked with a move for Modric in the build-up the January transfer window. Read that story here.

Quite how much playing time he'd get with the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta around as competition remains to be seen.

It's a long shot, but the European champions would certainly represent an appealing move for him

4. Real Madrid

Back in January, there were reports Real Madrid were keen on Spurs pair Modric and Gareth Bale—read them here.

Six months on, it's not unthinkable that Jose Mourinho could come in and steal him away from his Premier League suitors.

If Spurs do decide to sell, they'd surely rather he went overseas.

3. Chelsea

According to this article at The Sun's website, Modric is at the "very top" of Chelsea's shopping list this summer.

If we are to believe Spurs have already turned down an offer of £22 million, it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see Chelsea up their bid.

Roman Abramovich is a man who's used to getting what he wants.
