NCAA: Duke's Coach K Should Be Asked About One-and-Done on Show with Joe Paterno
Coach Mike Krzyzewski is about to do a show with Joe Paterno called Life Lessons with Paterno & Krzyzewski.
Penn State football coach Paterno and Coach K will be having a discussion about the trials and tribulations of their jobs and will take questions from a select audience at the end of the show.
One question I am hoping someone would ask Coach K is: Where he stands on the one-and-done situation, considering he just lost Kyrie Irving after only a year to the NBA draft and he has Austin Rivers on the way to Durham?

He previously went on record saying he wanted to recruit kids that were willing to stay longer than a year in college. True to form, he stuck with that plan throughout the last 10 years. Only one player left early—Luol Deng, who led Duke to the NCAA Final Four in 2004.
No doubt it will be a great show. When two great coaches from different sports come together to share their life experiences, it’s a must see show for the sports heads.
However, if they refuse to tackle hard subjects in respect of recruiting, etc., it will be just two men patting each other on the back.
Coach Krzyzewski said about the show: "Certainly, I am humbled to share the stage with one of the greatest coaches of all-time in any sport and at any level. I have ultimate respect for Coach Paterno and everything he's accomplished at Penn State. Beyond all the victories and accolades, he is a great leader and teacher. I look forward to spending time with him, and learning from him, at such a special event that involves students from both campuses."
I just wonder if any of the invite-only audience will have the fortitude to ask the right questions, instead of massaging the egos of the Hall of Fame coaches.
It is about time Coach K makes a statement about his views on coaching.
The show will be taped on June 20 and later aired on ESPN on June 30 at 8 p.m.
