NBA Trade Rumors and Scenarios: 8 Teams That Could Use Andre Iguodala
There have been a lot of speculation this off-season surrounding Andre Iguoudala and his potential departure from the Philadelphia 76ers. The question remains however: where could he go?
Certainly a large number of teams would love for Iggy to take his talents to their city, but with a competitive free agent market and potential lockout looming, some suitors are merely pretenders while others are serious contenders.

But wait, I thought you said he was going to be traded?
Yeah, I did—but to throw a wrench in the spokes he also could stay in Philadelphia and see out the rest of his contract which ends in 2014.
According to RealGM.com, Iggy is set to make $13.5 million next season with the contract increasing by $1.2 million each of the two remaining years.
Compared to other superstar's wages, that may not seem like a lot but some small-market simply cannot afford a bloated payroll if they are on tight budgets.
7. Milwaukee Bucks

Sadly enough, the best scorer for the Bucks this season was their mascot Bango—his halftime show and thrilling dunks won him mascot of the year.
In all seriousness though, the Bucks ranked dead last in the league in scoring offense last season, and though Iguodala isn't a high-octane scorer, he provides a much better attacking option than what they have now.
Coach Scott Skiles is known for his defensive mind, and being the strong defensive player he is, Iguodala would fit right in with Milwaukee's scheme.
6. Orlando Magic

Orlando's heavy reliance on the three-ball works really well because they have Dwight Howard under the hoop gobbling up rebounds.
The only problem is, when they aren't hot, they become somewhat one-dimensional and easier to defend.
Trading away one of their outside shooters for A.I. could bolster their offensive consistency and provide more than one threat in Dwight Howard.
Iggy's ability to slash and cut into the lane would not only create open looks for Orlando's shooters, but also draw defenders away from Howard, giving him an easy two points under the rim—something he is very good at converting.
5. New Jersey Nets

The Nets are in desperate need of another scorer simply because Derron Williams cannot shoulder the burden by himself.
Brook Lopez is a good option down low, but the two and three positions are up in the air for New Jersey.
Insert Iguodala.
He would provide a great second scoring option for the Nets, and Derron Williams could still get the majority of the shots. Jay Z's team also had the fifth-worst defense in the league last year, and Iggy's presence would do nothing but improve that ranking.
4. New Orleans Hornets

The Hornets are in a slightly similar situation to the Nets with an outstanding point guard and good scoring option in the low-post.
The only difference is that New Orleans has a chance of making a a deeper playoff-run than New Jersey, who doesn't have a chance at the playoffs at all.
With the addition of Iguodala, Paul wouldn't have to burden the full-load and a streaky Trevor Ariza wouldn't have to be relied on as much for offensive scores.
3. Indiana Pacers

Besides Danny Granger, who else is a viable offensive option for the Pacers?
You and I both know that Jeff Foster isn't picking up any offensive slack for Indy, that's for sure.
Yes, they would have to trade multiple players to acquire Iguodala and keep Granger, but again Iggy would provide another great scoring option for a team that in all honesty could use an attack-the-rim kind of player.
Also, with a payroll of just over $64 million, the Pacers could absolutely afford to pick up his contract.
2. Los Angeles Clippers

Iguodala in Clipper red could seriously help turn-around a team that has been the laughing stock of the league for quite some time.
With the likes of Eric Gordon, Eric Bledsoe and Blake Griffin, the Clippers' youth combined with Iggy's and Kaman's experience could prove a good mix of young and old—which usually is a recipe for success.
Not to mention that his athleticism combined with Griffin's would make one of the most entertaining teams to watch in recent memory.
1. Golden State Warriors

According to RealGM.com, the Golden State Warriors and the 76ers have opened up discussions about trading Monta Ellis for Andre Igoudala.
The Warriors leading scorer has $11 million left in each of the three years remaining of his contract, which would clear up cap space for the 6ers.
On the other hand, Iguodala's presence in California would allow for better ball distribution on offense since he wouldn't be taking 20-plus shots each night like Ellis does.
