Real Madrid: Florentino Perez Is Thirsty for Titles

Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, announced to the assembled supporters at Sports City Valdebebas that this is the start of a great time for Real Madrid.

“The club supporters worldwide spread Madridismo to every corner. The football factory we now behold, is becoming stronger and we are one of the great references. We are convinced that the King’s Cup is only the beginning of a great time.”

Real Madrid, which has been without a title since the 07-08 season, has finally conquered that irritation this year with their high profile coach Jose Mourinho. The King’s Cup victory this past season was special for Perez because it had been more than 17 years since Madrid had last won it.

The pressure was intense this season, competing against the best Barcelona team in history, this was the season defined by the mentality to “win at all costs” and supporters wanted any results they could get.  

Real Madrid fans are one of the most demanding fan bases in the world. Added to this the Madrid media also create a high degree of pressure that builds upon the coaching staff and even the President. If there are no titles at Madrid, anyone can lose their job. Madrid is now looking for stability after having nine coaches in six years.
