
UFC 130 Results: Live Play-by-Play for the Entire Fight Card
A fight between Quinton Jackson and Matt Hamill, along with the rest of an exciting UFC 130 card, is just hours away. If you don't plan on purchasing the pay-per-view for this event, then stick right here, because Bleacher Report MMA is here to bring you all of the night's action.
This slideshow blog will provide fight-by-fight results of every fight on the card and round-by-round play-by-play for every pay-per-view fight.
Coverage will begin with the preliminary fights to be streamed on Facebook at around 7 pm ET.

Renan Barao vs. Cole Escovedo

Renan Barao defeats Cole Escovedo by unanimous decision (30,27, 30-27, 29-28).
Barao continue his undefeated streak that dates back to the first fight of his career in 2005. The performance was not what one would consider dominant, but Barao's takedowns scored enough points in the judges eye to give him the unanimous decision victory.
Escovedo has now lost three of his last four fights. This was Escovedo's debut with the UFC and a fight he took on short notice, though, so expect him to receive another opportunity with the organization. Two years ago, Escovedo returned to MMA after being temporarily paralyzed from the waist down.
Michael McDonald vs. Chris Cariaso

Michael McDonald defeats Chris Cariaso by split decision (29-28, 29-28, 27-30).
McDonald records a win in his sixth straight fight, but this one was not nearly as impressive as his previous five performances.
Both fighters traded punches fairly equally on their feet. While both fighters scored plenty of points, not much damage was done by either through three rounds of action.
Cariaso nearly trapped his opponent in an omoplata in the third round, but McDonald was able to fight it off and take the narrow decision victory.
Cariaso has now lost two of his last three despite an impressive victory over Will Campuzano in his last fight, which also marked his UFC debut.
Gleison Tibau vs. Rafaello Oliveira

Gleison Tibau defeats Rafaello Oliveira by submission (rear naked choke) at 3:28 of the second round.
Tibau wins his second fight in a row in impressive fashion with a second round submission over Oliveira.
Oliveira loses for the first time since being released from the UFC last year. Since Oliviera returned to the UFC on short notice for this fight, he will likely get another fight with the organization, but the future doesn't appear to be bright unless he is able to make some significant improvements.
Kendall Grove vs. Tim Boetsch

Tim Boetsch defeats Kendall Grove by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
Boetsch rag-dolled Grove for three rounds in a dominant performance. The win gets Boetsch back on track after losing to Phil Davis in his last fight.
Boetsch utilized throws from the clinch and his size proved too much for Grove once the fight was on the ground.
Grove loses for the second straight fight and the fourth time in six fights. It wouldn't be surprising if Grove is released from the UFC in the very near future.
According to Compustrike, Boetsch was successful on nine of 11 takedowns and outlanded Grove 43-13 in power strikes landed.
Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson

Demetrious Johnson defeats Miguel Torres by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
Johnson earns the biggest win of his career against Torres with takedowns and top control to steal the second and third rounds.
Torres' run at fighting for another belt comes to a disappointing end despite his best efforts to remain active off of his back in this fight.
According to Compustrike, Johnson completed five takedowns and landed 45 ground strikes.
Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago

Round 1
Brian Stann lands a hard leg kick to Jorge Santiago's lead leg.
Santiago throws a straight right, but Stann coutnters with a nice combination. Santiago slips and Stann lets him back up.
Santiago lands a leg kick and Stann returns the favor. Stann is slipping Santiago's straight right and countering with a right of his own. Stann charges forward and blasts Santiago with another leg kick.
Stann drops Santiago with a huge left hook and is all over him. Stann is dropping elbows now and looking for the finish with one minute remaining in the round. Santiago controls Stann's posture long enough to survive the round, though.
B/R scores the round 10-9 for Stann.
Round 2
Stann lands another leg kick and defends a Santiago takedown attempt. Santiago presses Stann against the fence, but the former Marine is able to free himself.
Santiago fails on another takedown attempt.
Santiago lands a spinning backfist, but Stann comes forward with a combination of his own and then catches a kick to the body.
Stann lands a kick to the body and then to the lead leg of Santiago. Stann blasts Santiago with a right hook to the temple and then finishes the fight with a few more right hands to a downed Santiago.
Stann defeats Santiago by technical knockout (punches) at 4:29 of the second round.
Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story

Round 1
Rick Story comes out with a quick combination, but Thiago Alves answers with a leg kick. Story scores with a doubleg and take Alves' back as he stands. Story lands some knees to the thigh.
Alves attempts a throw, but Story escape and shoots in for another double leg. Alves defends, but is against the fence again.
Referee Kim Winslow breaks the fighters up, but Story takes the fight right back against the fence. Story separates and tees of to the body and head of Alves.
Alves lands some solid right hands in an exchange at the end of the round, but it is too little, too late to salvage the round.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Story.
Round 2
Alves starts the round with a leg kick. Alves blocks a head kick, but is taken down by Story. Alves escapes, but is taken down again quickly.
Alves stands and puts Story on his back briefly before ending up with his back against the cage yet again. Story is landing knees to the thigh of Alves, but Winslow breaks up the action again.
Story takes Alves down again with under a minute to go in the round. Alves stands as another round comes to an end.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Story.
Round 3
Story seems tired in the third round.
Alves lands a big knee, but story shoots in for a double leg and is able to survive the round.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Alves (29-28 Story).
Story defeats Alves by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
According to Compustrike, Story had a 65-54 edge in power strikes landed and landed 36 leg strikes.
Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne

Stefan Struve ties up Travis Browne and presses the fight to the fence.
Browne lands a leg kick and both fighters swing wildly. Struve lands with a right hand and a front kick to the body.
Browne secures a body lock and takes Struve down. Struve frees himself and attempts an anaconda choke, but Browne fights it off.
Browne scores with a combination and then finishes Struve with a brutal superman punch.
Browne defeats Struve by knockout (superman punch) at 4:11 of the first round.
Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson

Round 1
Frank Mir lands a nice combination, but Roy Nelson returns with two punches to the body. Nelson bullrushes Mir into the fence.
Mir lands a knee and then attempts a head kick, bit it is blocked by Nelson. Nelson presses Mir against the fence again. Mir is destroying Nelson with knees in the clinch.
Nelson is continuing to try to work some dirty boxing against the fence, but Mir is still getting the best of the exchanges. Mir throws Nelson and gains full mount.
Nelson stands and the round ends against the fence.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Mir.
Round 2
Nelson lands two overhand rights at the beginning of the round. Mir answers right back with a straight left and presses "Big Country" against the cage.
Mir drops down for a single leg and takes Nelson down. Mir lands a big left elbow from the half gaurd and takes Nelson's back.
Nelson stands, but he looks exhausted. Mir lands another big knee against the fence and takes Nelson down with a double leg.
Nelson stands and Mir lands two big kicks to the body.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Mir.
Round 3
Mir lands a knee from the clinch, a leg kick and then another knee to the head. Mir takes Nelson down and is working to pass to side control.
Nelson stands, but Mir lands another knee and takes the fight right back down to the ground. Again, Nelson stands and is taken right back down.
Mir lands a hard right hand and the fight ends with Nelson pressed against the cage.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Mir (30-27 Mir).
Mir defeats Nelson by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26).
According to Compustrike, Mir earns a 41-16 edge in power strikes landed. Mir completed 6 of 8 takedowns and secured 3 dominant positions. The gassed Nelson did not land a single power strike in round three.
Quinton Jackson vs. Matt Hamill

Leg kick by Matt Hamill early and Quinton Jackson blocks a head kick. Hamill feints a right and attempts a double leg.
Jackson clips Hamill with a right and nearly connects with a left uppercut as Hamill rushes in. Hamill lands a leg kick and Jackson returns a knee to the body.
Jackson scores with an uppercut that backs Hamill up. Hamill lands a left hook and straight right.
Jackson stuffs a takedown and lands a knee on the break. Jackson is stalking Hamill now and picking his defense apart. The round ends with a leg kick by Jackson.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Jackson.
Round 2
Jackson lands a hard knee to the body of Hamill and uppercut from the clinch. Hamill answers with a left hook with three minutes left in the round.
Jackson presses and lands a left hook of his own. Jackson lands another left hook with two minutes left in the round.
Jackson stuffs a takedown and then lands a hard uppercut before stopping another double leg. Hamill lands a head kick, but Jackson fires right back with a flurry.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Jackson.
Round 3
Hamill starts the round with a superman punch, which Jackson slips and answers with a right hook. Hamill gets a body lock, but Jackson break his grip with a knee to the body.
Hamill misses with a straight right, but lands a left hook. Jackson hits Hamill with a left hook to the body. Jackson defends a takedown against the fence.
Jackson lands a right and a hard left hook. Jackson lands a leg kick and defends yet another takedown attempt.
Jackson lands another nice knee to the body and presses Hamill against the fence.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Jackson.
Jackson defeats Hamill by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
