Wemby Shares Cryptic Meme as Spurs Prepare to Open NBA Season After Finals Loss vs. Knicks

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama shared a cryptic meme on X ahead of the 2026-27 NBA regular season.

The Spurs will face off against the Sacramento Kings in their preseason finale on Friday night before hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder to kick off the regular season on Tuesday.

Expectations are high for San Antonio following a 2025-26 campaign in which the team posted a 62-20 record and advanced to the NBA Finals. The Spurs ultimately fell to the New York Knicks in five games during the Finals, though.

Wembanyama was stellar throughout the year, averaging 25.0 points and 11.5 rebounds to go along with 3.1 blocks per game. He earned an All-Star nod and an All-NBA First Team selection as well as Defensive Player of the Year honors.
