Chicago Bulls: 5 Reasons Derrick Rose and Co. Will Force a Game 6

Eric BowmanMay 26, 2011

The Chicago Bulls will host the Miami Heat tonight at 8:30 PM ET on TNT. The Heat currently lead the series 3-1.

Is tonight the night Miami closes it out and moves on to the NBA Finals?

The Bulls have hung in tight for this entire series. The No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference has had its struggles, but the Bulls know they can beat the Heat.

The Bulls do not want their season to end now, nor do they want the Heat to celebrate as Eastern Conference champs in Chicago.

Here are five reasons why the Bulls will be victorious tonight.

5. The Heat Finally Won't Be Able To Close

With the exception of Game 1, this series has been very close. The Miami Heat have done a solid job of closing out the game and sealing the victory.

Tonight that will not happen. We will see the old Heat when they would get so flustered and not know what to do late in the game.

The Heat think they have this in the bag, but the Bulls will show them otherwise.

4. The Bulls Defense Will Dominate

This whole series has been about defense. Both teams have done a fantastic job of stopping one another.

Tonight, the Bulls defense will be just a bit better than Miami. Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer will prevent the Heat from dominating.

Just like in Game 1, two of the Heat's big three will be held to under 20 points. It will be an off night for Miami as Chicago shuts them down.

3. Derrick Rose Will Prove He Is Worthy of MVP

Derrick Rose hasn't really looked much like an MVP in this series. The Bulls have needed him to come up clutch late in the game, and he hasn't been able to do it.

Rose is just 2-14 from the field in the fourth quarter of each loss this series. That cannot and will not happen tonight.

Rose will prove he is worthy of the MVP by being unstoppable tonight. He will drop 35 points and dish out seven assists.

Tonight will be an MVP performance for Derrick Rose.

2. Home-Court Advantage

The Bulls will embrace being back on their home court tonight. Playing in front of their fans will renew their energy, and the Bulls will come out strong.

Chicago Bulls fans know that their team is very close to being done for the year. They want their favorite team to continue to play basketball, which means they will pack the house.

The United Center will be louder than ever tonight. The fans are 100 percent behind the Bulls, and they will do their best to throw off the Heat tonight.

1. It's Win or Go Home

The Chicago Bulls are desperate. They know what the stakes are for tonight's game, which means they will be giving it their all.

It's do-or-die tonight for the Chicago Bulls. They are hungry for a win, and tonight they will get it.

The Bulls do not want to go out like this. Losing four straight to the Heat would put a sour taste in their mouth that would last all summer long.

The Bulls are going to want it more tonight, and that is why they will win.
