Juventus Transfer Rumors: 5 Wingers That Could Wear Black and White Next Season

Borna KolbadiMay 27, 2011

With Anotnio Conte expected to take over at Juventus, many are waiting to see which players will arrive this summer to fit into the extremely offensive and entertaining 4-2-4 that Conte loves playing (e.g. watch third goal of Siena-Varese game of last week).

Milos Krasic and Pepe are great wingers, but they lack that extra bit of trickery that so often make wingers dangerous as well as expensive. Pepe is more about covering the full back and being there at the right time to finish in important games (which is great), and Krasic likes to out-pace the opposition more than anything else.

Each is easy to mark out of the game, and thus Juventus needs a winger to drive markers crazy.

Nani

1 of 5

Age: 24

Preferred foot: Right

Nani offers great dribbling and pace. He can take freekicks, could learn a lot from Del Piero, and would be great for the prospective 4-2-4 formation.

According to espnstar.com, Juventus are currently preparing a "huge" bid for Nani.

Opinion: Manchester United are playing in the Champions League every season, and Juventus has yet to qualify for the Europa League. As much as I like Nani, it's highly unlikely for him to move to the Old Lady.

Michel Bastos

2 of 5

Club: Olympique Lyonnais

Age: 27

Preferred foot: Left

Bastos has great, powerful runs and can shoot from miles away. Freekicks could be taken by him if Del Piero isn't on the pitch. It's rather reassuring to see how good he is at them.

According Goal.com, Juventus are very interested and would like to sign the €15 million star.

Opinion: Would love to see him at Juventus; however, he is more of a 4-4-2 winger and can also play at left back. He would be a great buy.

Eljero Elia

3 of 5

Age: 24

Preferred foot: Right

Elia is an exciting winger that has very unpredictable movement and is extremely quick. He has a great eye for assists when he makes runs from the wings and has an amazing first touch.

According to Goal.com, Juventus are interested in Elia and could sign him with a bid of €10 million.

Opinion: Althought Elia is very talented, he is not a proven winger and is very inconsistent. Thus, coming off two disappointing seasons, Juventus should not take a risk with Elia.

Alexis Sanchez

4 of 5

Club: Udinese

Age: 22

Preferred foot: Right

Sanchez is extremely talented and exploded the Serie A with his performances this season. He has an eye for the killer pass, can shoot from range and is an amazing dribbler. Great ball control and an amazing first touch constitute just some of his amazing attributes.

According to Goal.com, Juventus are interested—which is not surprising, considering his performances last season.

Opinion: Sanchez would probably be the best buy for Juventus. He is young and has proven himself in Serie A. It all depends on how much Udinese will actually ask for. Some rumors suggest a figure of around €40-50 million, which would make little sense for a player without very much experience.

Franck Ribery

5 of 5

Age: 28

Preferred foot: Right

Ribery is one of those players who gives his all every time he steps on the grass pitch. He offers great touch, amazing shooting accuracy and perfect crossing. He has an eye for the killer through balls and uses his dribbling ability to go past players as if they aren't even there.

According to Goal.com, Conte has specifically asked the team to sign Ribery, whom he considers an important part of his rebuilding plans.

Opinion: Ribery is very good and experienced. He also has the spirit needed to play for Juventus, and I don't think anyone would mind seeing Ribery as a Juventus player.
