NBA Playoffs 2011: Oklahoma City Thunder Riding High vs Dallas Mavericks
As Jay-Z would say, it's "on to the next one."
The Oklahoma City Thunder are riding high after a dominating Game 7 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Led by Kevin Durant's 39 points and a triple-double from Russell Westbrook, the Thunder all but pounded the Grizzlies into submission. We can say this: The better team won.
Kevin Durant had a dream the night before that he made shots and the Thunder won the game. Goes to show that sometimes dreams do come true.
After a long series with a feisty, clawing, scratching, reaching, desperate Grizzlies squad, the Thunder now face a new monster in the Dallas Mavericks.
Separated by only about three hours, Oklahoma City will be headed down I-35 looking to steal Game 1 from the Mavericks Tuesday night.
A lot of the experts have written the Thunder off in this series so I expect for a lot of experts to be wrong.
This Oklahoma City team is special, and with each win they only seem to get better. This team can beat you in a variety of ways.
Who would have guessed that Russell Westbrook would go off for a triple-double with 14 assists?
Nick Collison was solid again, as he has been for the Thunder this whole series. James Harden is becoming more and more confident with every game.
The Kendrick Perkins trade is looking better and better with each Thunder victory.
I don't know if it's just me but I sense something special about this Thunder team. This is really a solid team from top to bottom.
I knew this was the beginning of something special when last year, Kobe Bryant, after barely escaping the Thunder, called them some "Bad Mother@$%^&*!."
Well if Kobe thought that of them last year when they were just scratching the surface, one can only imagine what word he would use to describe them now.
