DC Predicts: Premiership Predictions Week 8

Daniel ChalmersOct 17, 2008

Welcome to my eighth weekly Premier League predictions article. I am predicting the Premier League fixtures every week and tracking my progress as I go along using a points system that I have devised which is as follows:

Getting the outcome of the match wrong: 0 points

Getting the outcome of a match correct: 1 point

TOP NEWS

Real Madrid CF v Girona FC - LaLiga EA Sports
Real Betis V Real Madrid - Laliga Ea Sports

Getting the exact score of a match correct: 3 points

BONUS POINTS

Getting five outcomes in a set of fixtures correct: 2 points

Getting five exact scores in a set of fixtures correct: 4 points

I am comparing my progress to BBC Sport’s Mark Lawrenson and seeing how our prediction success compares throughout the season.

Last week I got one correct outcome. Therefore I only scored one dreadful point.

Mark Lawrenson got three correct outcomes last week, which included one perfect score. This gave him five points in total.

After seven weeks of the contest Mark Lawrenson now leads me by 41 points to 37. He has now got a four point lead over me after what was a very bad Week 7 for me. I can’t let him get away this week.

Who will be ahead after Week 8? Here are all my predictions.

Please look through my profile to find out my predictions from other weeks.
