Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Raheem Morris Denies Rumors of Aqib Talib's Release
Despite what the St. Petersburg Times may be telling you, don't believe for a moment that troubled cornerback Aqib Talib will be released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as soon as the lockout and CBA haggling ends.
Talib isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and that's straight from the horse's mouth—or, in this case, straight from head coach Raheem Morris.
Morris has been making the rounds as he finds himself with some time on his hands. You know, no rookie camp, no OTAs, no nothing. He took in a Stanley Cup playoff game the other night, and watched the Lightning get a victory and take a 3-0 lead over the Washington Capitals.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He's been doing the talk radio circuit as well.
He appeared on WHBO-AM 1040, and here's how it went down:
Q: "There have been rumors that once (the lockout comes to a close) you will cut ties with Aqib Talib. Is there any truth to that?"
Raheem Morris: "No. We have not talked about that. That has not taken place. We will, but that time has not come yet."
Previously, Morris already stated that the Buccaneers would let the Talib situation be decided by the judicial system and by the league.
So, this sensational "scoop" by the St. Petersburg Times may turn out to be nothing more than a scoop of poop.
Author's Note: The Aqib Talib case will go before a Grand Jury in Dallas on May 18 at which time it will be determined if there is enough evidence to indict Talib. Some observers feel there will be an indictment at that time.
