Chelsea Injuries Affect England

TheChelseaBlog.orgOct 8, 2008

It seems Scolari’s reassurance that John Terry would be playing for England on Saturday may have been a little optimistic. Because having received treatment during our win at home to Villa on Sunday, John Terry has now been forced to sit out an England training session with a sore back.

England already have Joe Cole missing from the squad, with our midfielder ruled out with a foot injury sustained during the Villa game. And Ashley Cole is another of our player’s to have missed out on yesterday’s training session, spending his time doing gym work with the Chelsea captain instead.

England’s medical staff expect them both to be back today, but with Terry’s back problem seeming to bother him all too often, England’s game on Saturday is surely one we could all do without seeing him take part in?
