Dwight Howard Video: Watch Superman Throw Zaza Pachulia to the Ground in Game 1

Ryan RudnanskyApr 16, 2011

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard racked up an NBA-leading 18 technical fouls in the regular season.

For the record, he had more technical fouls than the whiny Kobe Bryant and the wild Stephen Jackson.

Sure, some of those T's could have been chalked up to Superman simply not knowing his own strength, his bulging muscles dwarfing those of most NBA competitors.

But Howard's technical on Atlanta Hawks center Zaza Pachulia in Saturday's Game 1 matchup was not one of these fouls.

Down 14 points midway through the third quarter, Howard decided to show Pachulia what being frustrated in the playoffs is all about.

Pachulia, whom I admittedly felt sorry for when Miami Heat center Zydrunas Ilgauskas recently pegged him in the back with a basketball, sure knows how to rile up the game's big men.

Howard, I think it's safe to say, was riled up.

When Pachulia went to grab an offensive board, Howard basically grabbed him by the shoulders and tugged him to the hardwood.

And no, Dwight, your infectious smile won't fool me.

Howard was given a technical for the crime against the former USSR. No amount of looks at the above JumboTron will change that, Superman.

Pachulia, known to be a scrappy rebounder, proved to be too scrappy for Superman, and the result was a trip to the free-throw line.

Pachulia should don a T-shirt with a large "P" on it.

He flew farther than Superman ever could on that one.
