Husker propaganda

"Full disclosure: I hate chippy games. They annoy me immensely. So do chippy teams like Missouri. The Tigers are a bunch of yappers, that was obvious, and because they’re very good they get away with it. Daniel never shuts up. Safety William Moore and linebacker Sean Witherspoon never shut up. They’re outgoing, cocky guys, and they don’t mind showing it. But they, along with a few other Missouri players, got way under Nebraska’s skin Saturday night."

First off, it's Weatherspoon. Not Witherspoon. Dumbass. 

And yeah, there was a lot of chirping from Mizzou as there was from Nebraska. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict it was instigated by the Huskers. I mean, considering they were already trash talking Mizzou only minutes after having their asses handed to them by Va. Tech and were supposably spitting and throwing balls during warmups. 

Which brings me to another point. I kinda get the spitting. I mean, it's gross, stupid, immature and completely and utterly classless. But it's at least insulting. But throwing balls? This isn't a fifth grade schoolyard fight fellas. 

Here's some more:

"Daniel said Nebraska was one of the dirtiest teams he had played. Now, that’s Chase Daniel talking, of course, and his mouth sometimes writes checks that even his considerable talents can’t cash."

Now Mr. I Can't Write goes on and says that if the spitting did happen then it's despicable. But when has Chase ever talked trash? The only thing I could think of that he's done that could even come close to leaving this kind of impression on someone is when he had his blowup in the Big 12 title game. But one outburst shouldn't be used to judge his character. I think he gets this kind of reputation because he's willing to get into your face just like every starting linebacker in the Big 12 does. But only once do I recall him losing his cool. 

But if you're gonna make damning claims like that you need to give some actual examples of what you're talking about. This column makes vague references to occurrences in the same manner that Jenni Carlson of The Oklahoman did when she wrote the column that led to the Mike Gundy outburst.
