Serie A Preview: Inter Looking to Put an End to Their Disastrous Form

Inter Milan are deflated after suffering two consecutive defeats that have all but knocked them out of domestic league contention and the Champions League quarterfinals.

They will be taking on Chievo, who will be extremely delighted with Inter’s current run of form.

Apart from the defeats, the number of goals that Inter have shipped in their last two games is a cause for concern.

It is without doubt the best possible time for Chievo to be taking on the Italian and European champions.

Chievo’s form has been greatly inconsistent in the league, but they will be looking to put an end to that by taking advantage of a weakened Inter side.

Romanian defender Cristian Chivu is going to be missed by the holders as he is suspended for the match due to the red card he received against AC Milan last weekend.

Udinese vs. Roma

Udinese will be taking on Roma in the standout match of this weekend in Serie A, with both sides looking to improve on their positions in the league.

Udinese are just four points behind Inter in fourth position, which should provide great motivation for the side since they have the opportunity to secure automatic qualification for the Champions League.

Roma, however, have dropped down the table significantly, but still remain within reach of arch rivals Lazio, who currently sit in fifth.

Given that both sides have a lot to play for, this match is expected to be extremely fierce.

The form of Udinese suggests that this match will probably go down in their favour, but they were recently defeated by Lecce in their last match—something that Roma could exploit.

That being said, they do not appear to be in the best of form themselves to be able to take advantage of this situation, having just lost to Juventus.

After the impressive victory over Lazio just a few weeks ago, Roma are yet to win again, but it could just happen this weekend.
