AC Milan 1 - Inter Milan 0 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) The Milan derby was lit up woth some Brazilian magic just before the break when Ronaldinho put AC Milan in front with a super header from a delicious Kaka cross.

Roma 2 - Atalanta 0 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) Christian Panucciโ€™s purple patch in front of goal continued against Atalanta, the defender chalking up his third goal in as many games after 17 minutes. Roma then moved further ahead on the half hour mark, the ball fell kindly to Vucinic in the box and the striker swept home the second.

Catania 1 - Chievo 0 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) Michele Paolucci got Catania off to a flying start at home to Chievo, showing a clean pair of heels to the defenders before rounding the keeper and scoring from an acute angle.

After the break Zarate smashed home a swerving effort from distance. The game then erupted in the final minutes, Zarate hit a brace from the penalty spot after keeper Sereni had been sent off for the hosts, who then then reduced to nine men when Pratali was dismissed, with time left lleft over for Amoruso to score a consolation from the spot. Bologna 0 - Napoli 1 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) German Denis stepped off the bench to grab an 86th minute winner, heading home from a corner, and infliciting a fourth consecutive loss on Bologna.

Palermo 1 - Reggina 0 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) Fabrizio Miccoliโ€™s 52nd minute strike proved to be enough to ensure the points remained in Sicily.

Lecce 2 - Cagliari 0 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) Guillermo Giacomazzi (33) and Jose Ignacio Castillo (61) did the damage for the hosts.

Udinese 2 - Siena 1 (Serie A, September 28, 2008) Fabio Quagliarella and Simone Pepe gave the hosts a comfortable lead, but saw Houssine Kharja pull one back before break. Siena, though, were unable to find an equaliser and slipped to a third straight defeat.
