Hugo Lloris

Was really needed throughout most of the match, let Benzema's shot go through the five hole and I bet he wish he had that one back.

Match Rating: 6

Dejan Lovren

Covered his men well, virtually shut out Di Maria and keep things tidy in the back. Nothing special.

Rating: 6

Cris

The Brazilian born skipper had the header to set up Gomis' equalizer and cleared most danger from the back with ease. Yellow card for foul on Ronaldo deserved, a little to rough.

Rating: 7

Anthony Reveillere

Kept toe to toe with Cristiano Ronaldo for a large part of the first half but as time went on so did Ronaldo's form and the 31 year old provided stability but shakeyness at the back.

Rating: 7

Aly Cissokho*

Lyon's best defender. He moved well with possession up the line and is a major threat for Lyon with crosses from the left side.

Rating: 7.5

Kim Kallstrom

Started the match hot but flickered away and the ball didn't bounce his way. Came off in the 77th.

Rating: 6

Michel Bastos

Had flair but wasted possessions as well. Switched flanks the entire time he was in the game and started the second half virtually ineffective. Will miss the next match off yellow. Came off in the 71st.

Rating: 7

Jeremy Toulalan

Played his role well, stopped Ozil early. Generated a bunch of attacks and though he faded late in the match he kept possession well. Solid efforts.

Rating: 7

Yoann Gourcuff

He was energetic throughout the match and showed his passing abilities well. Had a tough time with the central defenders as they were on point, and Xabi Alonso was a handful.

Rating: 6.5

Bafetimbi Gomis*

Missed won given goal early, but redeemed himself with the equalizer. His touch was off and he seemed out of sync but allowed his team to leave on a draw.

Rating: 7

Cesar Delgado

Had his creativity cut off by Real's tight defense, although its safe to say had an excellent first half. Ran at the defenders but was a little stubborn with the plays. Off in the 70th

Rating 6.5

Substitutes

Miralem Pjanic

Last year's hero but didn't impress much in his short time.

Rating: 5

Jeremy Pied

Booked in his brief appearance.

Rating: 4

Jimmy Briand

Had no space, and little time

Rating: 5

Real Madrid

Iker Casillas

Untested as well, made a mistake the Gomis botched. Couldn't do much for the conceded goal. Did his job.

Rating: 6

Ricardo Carvalho*

Was quick to the ball and teamed well with Pepe. Gave Gomis minimal space to work with. Solid play, not quite vintage Carvalho but enough to shut them down.

Rating: 7

Pepe*

Solid in the back line. Kept a good connection with Carvalho and showed energy, pace and quickness shutting down spaces. Quality

Rating: 7.5

Sergio Ramos

Booked early for a bad challenge. He also hit the crossbar off a header and struggled to contain Bastos early but them soon put him away in the later third of the game.

Rating: 6.5

Arbeloa Coca

Solid at the back. Gained possession well up the field, satisfied Mourinho.

Rating: 7

Xabi Alonso

Worked flawlessly with Khedira and controlled the center of the field. Didn't have his crucial passes but cut the ball out well.

Rating: 7

Angel Di Maria

Ineffective and off target. Couldn't get passed Cissokho, and booked unnecessarily for immaturity.

Rating: 6

Mesmut Ozil

Has lost his edge and it shown today couldn't find the flow of Madrid and got a tad better in the second half. Off in the 75th minute.

Rating: 6

Sami Khedira

Didn't see much off the ball, stopped Kallstrom and came off for Diarra in the 69th.

Rating: 6

Cristiano Ronaldo*

Had his flair and tricks at hand today and usual dangerous free kick ricochet off the bar. Had a stunning second half and assisted the opening goal to Karim Benzema.

Rating: 7.5

Emmanuel Adebayor

Underachiever, ball poorly off the ball and at times seamed fatigued although he was rested for this match? Didn't see much of the ball to his defense but did provide any danger.

Rating: 6

Substitutes

Marcelo

Came on late and couldn't stop the tying goal.

Rating 4.5

Lass Diarra

Came in on a tactical switch to finish out the match.

Rating: 5

Karim Benzema*

Welcome Home Karim! Loud ovation for the striker and pumped him up to score within a minute of his entering the game. Good form.

Rating: 7
