The 'keeper had a relatively quiet first half but made two phenomenal saves against Yepes' headers which kept the Spurs in the hunt for victory.

Rating: 8

Defenseman, Vedran Corluka

Linked well with Lennon for most of the game and presented good crosses into the Milan area, but was substituted do to an unfortunate injury.

Rating: 6

Defenseman, Willam Gallas

Heart of the defense and showed leadership with the organization of the team after Corluka went off with injury.

Rating: 8

Defenseman, Michael Dawson

Involved in two mind-numbing plays in the game's injury time with a great block to negate Robinho and then fouled from behind by striker Ibrahimovic as the both went for the header.

Rating: 6

Defenseman, Benoit Assou-Ekotto

Always a joy to watch and yet again gave a solid performance on the left side of the Spurs defense. Another good game and provided dangerous crossing opportunities.

Rating: 7

Midfield, Aaron Lennon

His speed proved superior to the aging back line of Milan, even after not being involved for quite some time he assisted the pivotal, decisive Tottenham game winner.

Rating: 8

Midfield, Wilson Palacios

Did the dirty work well, and completely shut out Seedorf. Challenged Milan's rally in the second-half and held his position.

Rating: 7

Midfield, Sandro

Worked well with Palacios and helped Tottenham basically control the middle part of the field. A shaky challenge on Ibrahimovic but no harm, no foul.

Rating: 7

Midfielder, Steven Pienaar

The surprise in the starting 11 ahead of Kranjcar but fit well in Tottenham's game plan and dominate in the midfield area.

Rating: 6

Attack, Rafael Van der Vaart

Created a few first half chances and a solid chip to start the second half but played his role well.

Rating: 7

Attack, Peter Crouch

Caused problems through the air as he towers over most defenders and remained cool during the Tottenham counter attack that led to his game winning away goal.

Rating: 8

Substitutes

Jonathan Woodgate

In for the injured Corluka, held the Milan attack well but was fairly unorganized.

Rating: 6

Niko Kranjcar

In for 13 minutes, controlled the ball well and did what he could in the time he had.

Rating; 6

Luka Modric

Started the counter attack that led to the goal and provided equilibrium in the midfield for the Spurs. A good move off the bench.

Rating: 7

Goalkeeper, Christian Abbiati

Had a eventful 15 minutes but was replaced by Amelia when he got a concussion after colliding with Crouch.

Ratings: 5

Defense, Ignazio Abate

Quieted Pienaar well with good dominating ball skills but was kept busy by Crouch's height and him trailing to the far post.

Rating: 6

Defense, Alessandro Nesta

Opening minute penalty scare after a crossed in blocked off his arm but showed calmness and experience throughout the game.

Rating: 7

Defense, Mario Yepes

Played solid defense  but missed his mark on the Crouch goal, and was denied a opening goal early in the second half, twice.

Rating: 7

Defense, Luca Antonini

Had a hard target to cover with speedster Lennon and struggled to keep any form or pace on the back line.

Rating: 5

Midfield, Gennaro Gattuso

Hot-headed as usual, was given a yellow and will miss next match.

Rating: 5

Midfield, Thiago Silva

Moving from center back to midfield again, and produced good scoring chances that were denied by compatriot Gomes.

Rating: 7

Midfield, Mathieu Flamini

A good case for Milan's player of the match but a dirty tackle on Corluka over shadows his influence in the middle of the field.

Rating: 5

Midfield, Clarence Seedorf

Came off at half-time and seemed lost throughout most of the first half. Could not stay up with passing and pace of Tottenham's attack.

Rating: 4

Attack, Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Wasn't too involved with the game in the first half besides a controversial call for a penalty on the edge of the area. Close to game tying goal in injury time but fouled Dawson from behind.

Rating: 7

Attack, Robinho

Showed flash and skill but did not help out defensively whatsoever. Kind of like his Premier League days with City.

Rating: 6

Substitutes

Marco Amelia

In for the injured Abbiati, filled his role well and had no help on the Crouch goal.

Rating: 6

Substitute, Alexandre Pato

Played well and gave pace and energy to the Milan attack.

Rating: 6

MAN OF THE MATCH: PETER CROUCH
