Arsenal FC: Can Fabregas Lead Them to Premeir League Glory?
Arsenal FC have not won anything in six years...and it soon will be seven. All they can win this year is the Premier League, which would still be a big achievement for the season.
What lies in their way is a journey of 9 games. Each will feel like a war. Some will be tougher than others. However, the league is in their hands if they want it that bad. How bad do they want it?
Only time will tell, but as an Arsenal fan, I can tell you that they want it more than any team in the league.
Every year, we see how the players have improved. However, there are still no trophies. This year, Arsenal look a lot better than they have looked in the past. The fans realise that this a good chance for the team to win the league, as bad luck has not cursed them too much.
On that note, every year bad luck seems to hit Arsenal at the same time of the season. Last year, up to five star players were injured against Barcelona. This year, we get the injuries to Theo Walcott, Alex Song, as well as an unfit Fabregas and a joke red card against van Persie. Maybe bad luck hasn't been so kind to the Gunners this year.
In three weeks, Arsenal got knocked out of three trophies. One by one, they all went down the gutter.

First, they lost the Carling Cup, which should have been in the bag.
Next was the Champions League, which was a joke.
Then there was the F.A. Cup, where Ferguson once again outsmarted Arsene with a bit of van der Sar magic.
Some critics have argued that Arsenal have a lack of leadership on the pitch and in the dressing room. However, this would be the perfect time for Fabregas to really step up and lead this team forward. In a sense, it is true Arsenal don't have the voice that some teams do.
Man United has Ferdinand, Rooney and van der Sar.
Chelsea has Terry, Lampard and Drogba.
Arsenal has...Fabregas?
The leadership has been there by Fabregas in games such as Chelsea. However, throughout the season, there hasn't been that voice of leadership from anyone else.
I feel that the leadership also has to be taken by a center back, which hopefully will happen when Vermaelen gets back in the team.
This season we have also seen Samir Nasri take to the field and show us what he could do from the start by taking on players and scoring. When Fabregas has been out of the team, we have seen more of this from Nasri. However, with both playing on the same team, we see a much more stable Arsenal, with a mixture passing and individual skill to win games.
In past articles, I have predicted the Arsenal-Chelsea score and the England-France score. Now, I predict that Arsenal will have what it takes to go the whole way and win the league. I truly feel the team have become stronger and meaner this season and will do whatever it takes to win this league.
I know we can go the 9-game run unbeaten. Fabregas is quickly becoming one of the world's best midfielders, and these last games of the season will tell us just how much of a leader and captain he is.
The team matures every year. However, we see no progress in terms of trophies.
This year will be different.
