Ok Jadeveon, you got your exclusive 15 minutes of fame to tell us something we've known for six months and that is, you wanted to come to Alabama but you are a mama's boy and she calls the shots.

I would have liked for you to have manned up and done what your head and heart was telling you to do instead of listening so much to mommy. Are you only going to play for the Carolina Panthers once your college days are over?

I mean, when do you finally cut the apron strings?

And why put off the announcement? Did you really think you were building excitement? Yawn...

We all knew this was coming since your mother said she wanted you within apron string distance.

And with all the D's on your report card, there's still a great possibility that not even South Carolina can get you into a basket weaving curriculum that will satisfy the NCAA's admission standards. You may wind up in a Jr. College in Podunk, Mississippi next year.

Your work on the football field speaks for itself, so does your classwork and decision making abilities.

Yes it was great to be the number one recruit, but you milked it to death and did nothing for the school you picked that you could have.

Had you announced six months ago that you were going to South Carolina you could have helped recruit a stronger class and helped your school instead of simply trying to milk your 15 minutes of fame with a decision we in the press already knew was in the bag.

You may have cut your 15 minutes of fame a little, but you would have had more respect from the press and a lot more from your future teammates.

While there is no doubt in your abilities as a player. You should do well between the hash marks and I would have loved to have had you in a Crimson uniform.

Don't get me wrong, it's not sour grapes that you didn't sign like I wanted you to, only that you came out and gave all these reasons why you liked Alabama and apparently, by your comments, like Clemson better too, but you wanted in the SEC and momma said you could play at South Carolina.

You gave a ton more reasons why you liked the other schools better and fewer on why you picked the Gamecocks. Can you see the irony there? We in the press can.

Picking a college is a business decision. It marks the time of your life when you may have to leave home to prepare yourself for the best future you can.

You just came off as a momma's boy and I hope you can live with that before she tells you only sign with the Carolina Panthers later.
